Pompano's Summer Actually Has a Schedule Now

Pompano's Summer Actually Has a Schedule Now

For years, summer in Pompano Beach meant the calendar went quiet. The snowbirds flew north, the events packed up until October, and the pier crowd thinned to regulars with tackle boxes. That version of the season is out of date. Between the Old Town arts district and the rebuilt Fishing Village, the city now runs a repeatable monthly loop from May through September that residents can plan a Friday around without checking whether anything is open.

If you already live here, the interesting question isn't what Pompano offers a visitor. It's how the local rhythm has tightened since the Fisher Family Pier work wrapped and Old Town's programming matured. This post walks the current cadence.

The first-Friday / third-Friday rhythm

Two recurring events now anchor most weekends downtown, and both are free.
